Dear classmates:

I hope this email finds you in good health and good spirits. I also hope you didn't end up with as much extra candy as I did tonight. (I told them five giant "Wonka Mixup" bags would be too much, but noooooooooo!)

That's not why I'm writing, though. I'm writing because Allegra Lawrence-Hardy and I have agreed to share the duties of Class Secretary, and we need the scoop on you for the class notes. We'll both be at the class reunion later this week, and I'm sure we'll get plenty of information then. Even so, it would be very helpful if you'd send us a few sentences on the latest news o your lives.

We're on a tight deadline after the reunion, so please email us by November 7 to be included in the next class note. If you can't get it to us by then, don't worry. We'd love to hear from you for the next one.

If you'll be in New Haven this weekend, I look forward to seeing you. (If you're lucky, I'll give you a handful of leftover Laffy Taffy.) If you won't be there, please let us hear from you.
