Dear Parents,

The Homecoming Dance will be held this Saturday, October 22nd in the Dining Room. The doors to the dance will open at 8:30 p.m. Students should arrive before 9:15. Between 9:15 and 9:30 students will be admitted but will be assessed four disciplinary points. No student will be admitted after 9:30 (without prior approval by the Dean), and students may not reenter the dance once they leave the building. The event will end at 11:00 p.m. Please help your child plan to arrive promptly by reminding them of this time-line for the evening. Please be clear with your child about how and when they will be picked up after the dance. A student may bring one guest to the dance; this person must arrive with him/her and bring a high school ID. The SFS host student is responsible for the behavior of his/her guest throughout the evening.
Before every dance we remind students of the rules governing on-campus social events. We include the reminder against drugs, alcohol, and violence as well as the reminder that they must abide by our Communitys values written on pages 3 and 4 in the Handbook for Parents and Students. Prior to the dance, the School asks that you review these policies at home with your child(ren); and also review the Schools discipline policy on student drug and alcohol use written on page 34 in the handbook.
