SUNDAY SCRIMMAGE - Eleanor Gollub, coach of STEPS, emailed this morning to
say that our scrimmage on Sunday will start at 3:45. I pushed for an earlier
start, but she cannot accommodate. However, we have the field starting at
3:00. So please plan on arriving at around 3:00, and we will have a short
practice and warm up. We will be done by 5:00.


We are on the lower field. When you enter the gravel parking lot, the upper
field is on your right. Drive/walk past this field and turn right in the
parking lot. If you continue to the end of the lot there is a path that
leads thru some woods to the lower field which is on the other side of the
baseball diamond. A little confusing, but I or another parent will be there
to direct you.


Any other ideas for players to fill our roster are appreciated. Thanks for
the help!

DIRECTIONS:

Langley Fork Park is located at 6414 Georgetown Pike. It's very close to
the intersection of Rte 123/Dolley Madison and Georgetown Pike, tucked in
behind the CIA. The address is deceiving, and the park/fields are much
closer to Rt. 123 than the address would suggest. The park is not well
marked and sits off the road. So look for the sign and drive slowly.


FYI, I take GW Parkway to Rt. 123 west past CIA HQ, then turn right on
Georgetown Pike and the park will be on your right (before you get to any
homes).


INDOOR LACROSSE - there are 13 of you who have already registered for indoor
lacrosse. Rockville only accepts individual registration (not team). I have
been asking her if we can reg as a team, and then it will be up to me to
make sure we have enough and not too many players on any Sunday (rotate
players to sit out one or two weeks). Well, this morning they finally
agreed. If we sign a waiver, no one else needs to register with Rockville
(we are over the 12 required). So I suggest that anyone who wants to play
and has NOT registered yet, pay the $160 reg fee to "Club Pink" and send the
check to me. I will then either use this money for a season ending party or
refund equally to those of us who have already paid Rockville. SO, IF YOU
HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR INDOOR YET, DO NOT DO IT!
