Dear NMNS Board:

As is our practice, I have attached some extensive and important material for your review before our meeting next week. Along with our agenda and minutes from the May meeting, the regular reports include 1st quarter financials; staff reports; development, graduate support, and mission effectiveness. In addition you will see three documents from The Whelan Group who will be presenting at the meeting; as well as Melodie and David's strategic operating reports.

At this meeting we will welcome to the Board two school leaders, John Ciccone and Maureen Herrmann. Their resumes are attached so you can learn something about them before our meeting next week.

Once again, I want to thank Bill Whitaker and all of you for your willingness to lead us through this vitally important stretch. You will see after reviewing our financials and board materials that our current state is critical and even more urgent than it was in May. Our mission remains no less compelling and my confidence in our ability to determine the right course for moving forward is strong.
