Dear Parents,

Today's ISMAW Math Meet at the Jewish Day School has been moved to
next week 10/31. There is no school that day but the Meet will go
on!SFS will be renting a bus. Students will need to leave SFS at 3:15
to get there on time and will return to SFS after the meet ends. The
meet should end around 5:00-5:15. Return to SFS around 6:00. Students
can be picked up at the meet if a faculty member is notified.

Math Meets are a competition where area independent schools compete a
few times per year. All are welcome. There are two levels, one
generally for 9th and 10th grade and another for 11th and 12th.
Contestants solve problems individually and the top scores are used by
each school. SFS provides transportation to and from the meets and
students are excused from PE or athletics to compete. A calculator is
required for some of the problems.

Thursday, January 26th US ISMAW (math meet) at NCS (Snow date: feb2)
Thursday, February 23rd US ISMAW (math meet) at Landon (snow date: March 1)
Monday, April 16th US ISMAW (math meet) at Gonzaga
