SOOOO, maybe I failed to attach it before, as I failed to attach it this time!!! Co-Chair Hallie O. Biden, and Co-Chair R. Hunter Biden Beau Biden Foundation 4601 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE 19803 Dear Mr. and Ms. Biden, On behalf of the National Children’s Alliance, I write to ask your blessing to posthumously present the National Children’s Alliance Champion for Children Award to Beau Biden, and invite you and your family to accept the award on his behalf at our 2018 Leadership Conference in our nation’s capital. Given Beau’s, and your family’s, unwavering commitment to combating child abuse from many angles, and his close work with the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Delaware, it only seems fitting that we honor his legacy with the recognition it deserves. A similar invitation has been extended to Vice President Biden. The National Children’s Alliance (NCA) is the membership association and accrediting body for a network of over 800 Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). NCA serves as a voice for abused children and provides support, technical assistance and quality assurance for CACs, child-friendly facilities in which multidisciplinary teams of law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals, and victim advocates coordinate a comprehensive response to allegations of child abuse. CACs work to improve investigations, help children heal, and hold offenders accountable. Last year, CACs served more than 324,000 victims of child abuse, and sexual exploitation, and provided child abuse prevention education to more than 1.8 million individuals. Our Leadership Conference attracts over 500 individuals in the Children’s Advocacy Center Movement and is the only such event providing education, networking, and advocacy opportunities for chapter leaders, CAC directors and staff, and multidisciplinary team members. It will be held at the Renaissance Hotel at 999 9th Street NW in Washington, D.C. beginning Sunday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 13. It would be our pleasure to host you and your family as a recipient of this award on Beau’s behalf. Should you accept this invitation we will happily work with your and or the Vice President’s scheduling staff to make the proper arrangements. Thank you for your consideration of this invitation. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 202-548-0090 x 102 or thuizar@nca-online.org. As adults, we have a legal and moral obligation to stand up and speak out for children who are being abused. These children cannot speak for themselves.” —Beau Biden > Begin forwarded message: > > From: Patty Dailey Lewis <patty@beaubidenfoundation.org> > Subject: National Children's Alliance award > Date: March 12, 2018 at 6:21:02 PM EDT > To: Hallie Biden <HallieBiden@gmail.com>, Hunter Biden <hbiden@rosemontseneca.com> > > Hallie- > It was great to see you today!!
