Dear USGLC Board,

I wanted to share this impressive bipartisan letter (attached) of nearly 20 former Senators - all members of USGLC's National or State Advisory Committees that was sent to the Senate Appropriations leadership today.

The letter calls on their former Senate colleagues to protect the International Affairs Budget from further cuts and was signed by former Majority Leaders, Armed Services and SFOPs Chairs, among others. A big thank you to my colleagues who helped pull this letter together, timed to impact the all-important 302(b) allocations that will set binding funding levels for international affairs programs. It speaks to how engaged they are in our effort. Unfortunately, our latest intel is that further cuts are coming.

This, along with our military leader's letter sent a few weeks ago, are powerful statements that America is not keeping pace with today's global challenges.
