I can't begin to tell you what an honor and a pleasure it was to talk with you and your father the other day. I was grateful for your time, and your candor, and your willingness to talk at length about the most deeply personal subject, family. It was an inspiring conversation, and I'm really proud to be able to share it with our readers.

One question: When we were walking over to the photo shoot, your father's doctor told me that working for your father has made him a better dad to his daughters. He wanted me to make sure it was okay with you that I use that. Also, I didn't get his name. (I can also check this with Meghan.) He seemed like a great guy.

Lastly, I promised I would take you up on your kind offer to show us around the White House sometime. We would love to do that with our boys. Is there a particular time over the next few months that would work well for you? We can pull the kids out of school for this any time (wildcard), and summer is good too.
