Good Afternoon-

Just an update. I am in Legislative Hall now. I just met with Speaker
Schwartzkoff, Rep. Bentz (prime sponsor), Rep. Short (minority leader), Tim
Mullaney (former COS for Beau and an incredible help) and the House
Democratic and Republican attorneys assigned to the bill.

There are 3 amendments. The amendments are all fine, and everyone claims to
be in agreement. None of the amendments weaken the bill; one actually
strengthens it. The NRA supports the bill.

Each party is going to caucus now and each party promises they have the
votes. The bill will go on the floor later this afternoon. I am staying
here until it passes. Let’s cross our fingers and hope it will go as
smoothly as I am promised.

I will update you as necessary.
