This year our family would like to award the Triumph of the Spirit Award in memory of your brother who fought disease so bravely and to the entire Biden family for the way in which you carry on his legacy. Your family's strength, care and compassion have touched so many of us.

The 19tth Annual Race for Hope is Sunday May 1st at 8:30 a.m. starting at Freedom Plaza in downtown Washington D.C. I have been in touch with your father's staff regarding this event as well, but have not heard back. My understanding is our request is under consideration. Even if your dad is not able to make it, we would love to have you and your family with us, to join our community, and to accept our award.
