Sponsor Dollars Go Above And Beyond Thanks to you all, we were able to get sponsored and save EVERY dog we posted last week. Truly amazing. However, in addition to them you also allowed us to save three more special dogs. While attending the VA Federation of Humane Societies conference, our staff was alerted to a shelter in Louisa, VA who had suddenly gotten 38 dogs turned in within 48 hours. With no open runs and no adoptions in sight, the shelter representative was in tears at the conference. She said, "I have not had to euthanize a dog in five years for lack of space and I cannot imagine doing it now. But I need help. And fast." HT immediately sprung into action arranging for these three dogs Lolita, Rudy and Lady to leave the shelter by the next morning, making space for the others and also secured other shelters in VA to take some in. Because our costs were covered on the other 10 dogs last week, we were able to jump in and help right away with these dogs, who we did not have time to post or get sponsored. Thank you for helping save lives - the ones we share with you and many behind the scenes who need saving with a moment's notice. :) Meet Our Must Have Animals Our weekly wish list of dogs and cats to save! Each week we seek to rescue new animals from our rural shelter partners before they face euthanasia due to space. It is essential that we secure sponsorship for these animals in order to cover their initial vetting and transport costs. We had great success from our wonderful Facebook supporters, but the new algorithm has drastically hurt our ability to reach out! To ensure we can continue to say YES to these puppies, dogs, kittens and cats, each week we will share with you some of our must have animals in hopes you will consider donating to their sponsor costs. Time is running out for these dogs Once we receive word from our shelter partners, we have very limited time to act and save these dogs before our weekly transports each Wednesday! If we cannot secure sponsorship for these dogs by Tuesday night, they may never get a second chance. Will you help us in these final 24 hours so we can save more lives?
