Dear Hunter,


As we approach the end of our fundraising quarter on March 30th, I want to give you a quick update and ask again for your support. After Connor Lamb's big upset in PA-07, our opponent Mike Coffman looks soft target. But don't forget, in 2016 Washington insiders confidently predicted an overwhelming victory for Democrats. Instead, we lost to Mike Coffman and we lost to Trump. In 2018 we have the chance to ensure that 2018 is not an extension of that broken system. Today must be the beginning of something exciting and new.

That's why I'm taking on Mike Coffman. My family has lived the American dream and I want others to have the same opportunity. My grandma Nancy Dick drove to Colorado in 1956 with two small children. Eventually, she served as our first female Lt. Governor. My Jewish grandparents, Tom and Annette Lantos, escaped the Nazi death camps and built a new life in America. They taught me to prioritize people and progress over money and power. I rejected big corporate paychecks. I invented technologies and built companies to tackle climate change. Later, I was appointed by President Obama to the U.S. Department of Energy where we helped entrepreneurs like Elon Musk build companies like Tesla.

After Trump's 2016 victory, I knew I had to fight back. But before I decided to run, I spent months listening. I heard the voices of the district (many in Spanish, which I speak fluently). They said that too many people are being squeezed by the modern economy; hard work should mean a good life; the excesses of extreme capitalism and inequality are threatening the American Dream; things need to change. I agreed.

So I decided to challenge Mike Coffman and stand up to a rigged political and economic system that emphasizes money and connections over values and people. I believe.


Universal healthcare is a right

Americans deserve a living minimum wage of at least $15/hr

The future of our planet and the U.S. economy requires a transition to renewable energy by 2035

All Americans must be treated equally before the law

Donald Trump is a criminal (I’m the only candidate in CO-06 fighting to remove him from office)
