Hunter, the hot tub is working. Seems a little slow but is working. I should warn you that it is prone to tripping the main breaker for the house. It can be avoided by following my instructions but it happens to guests now and then. Forgive the scare tactics, I am just trying to set clear expectations ; )
Hope that helps. Aside from all that the place is a dream. Has a lot of character and feels secluded, as you mentioned, like a cabin in Big Sur, yet essentially in the middle of the city.
