Dear Val, Hunter and Beau,
In the next couple of weeks, we're going to launch a new twitter product that I think will be a cool new way to communicate with the many VP faithful across the country. As long as I've known your dad, he has reminisced about the radio actualities that he did as a senator, and I finally figured out a way to revive the idea -- as an audio file that we would tweet on a weekly basis. The basic idea is this: once a week or so, we would pick a photo from an event or an experience involving the Vice President (i.e., meeting first responders in Newtown, dancing with Dr. Biden at the inauguration, etc.), then record 30 to 60 seconds of remarks where he reflects or expands on the moment. We would tweet the audio file and the photo together, as a package. The idea is to give people a little more access to his thinking, his daily life as VP, and his voice, in a fresh medium that targets younger people who don't know him as well. I look at it as his version of the President's weekly radio address.
I'd like to brand this project with a logo, so when people receive the tweet they recognize what it is. Attached are some names under consideration, along with a couple of mock images showing what the feature would look like when it shows up on a subscriber's twitter feed. The Vice President would love your input on the name - can you take a look at the mock logos in this file and let me know what you like best?
