I really enjoyed speaking at Harvard Law School yesterday as part of the
Tenth Annual Pension and Capital Stewardship Conference. With an
international audience of scholars, pension fund Trustees and finance
professionals (including people from Australia, Canada, Germany and the
United Kingdom), this was a distinguished gathering of experts and
practitioners in the field of pension investments and finance. My
presentation entitled: "Infrastructure Investments by NYC Union's Pension
Funds: A Promising Plan? Reasons, Risks, Recommendations" provided a unique
forum to address public pension funds and infrastructure investments, which
is a concept Governor Cuomo calls the "centerpiece" of his new budget and
something that I have advocated for over the last several years.
