> Subject: VP Biden and mutual research efforts
> Kimberly,
> As you know, my daughter battles NF, a tumor disorder that can lead to blindness, deafness, skin and bone abnormalities, massive deformities and cancer and death. As you know, I sit on the national board of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Our President and Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Annette Bakker, is curious if we can mutually help VP Biden and his “moon shot” cancer cure initiative. Our Foundation is ALREADY doing many of the collaborative things he is talking about to bring about treatments faster. (see her email below)
> My question is, do you have a strong enough relationship to get her / our Foundation a meeting? We have an outside GR firm, Squire Patton Boggs, and our contact there is Mr. Aubrey Rothrock, a well-established person in the medical advocacy circuit on the Hill.
> Let me know if you think you could help us with a meeting. I haven’t approached Aubrey yet.
> Thank you!

> Board,
> Please see Biden below.... and we are AHEAD of this game. Synodos and even NFPC/NFTC are exactly tackling what he is talking about- we have been able to incentivize scientists to share data in real time for 8 years now!
> And it is paying off big time - almost 20 drugs were brought to the clinic and Selumetinib would not have been in registration trial without this effort and there is more to come - now in NF2! and tomorrow for schwannomatosis.... we are ahead of the cancer field on this and I am very thankful to have a board that believes in my crazy ideas! Thank you so much for your trust!
>
> There is more and I would love to talk to Biden... we have more roadblocks to remove and with his support, we can make the next change! I will keep fighting together with you to end NF!
> Warm regards,
