Hunter. See the note from Connie Viellette regarding the need for cancer patient input in the WH cancer task force. Connie has pancreatic cancer and is being treated at Hopkins. Connie was for many years on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and was a senior long term staff for Senator Lugar, and knew your dad in that capacity. She works now at the Lugar Center and I work with her on food security issues in my Aspen program. She is an exceptional person. Dan

Hi Dan. I hope this finds you well.

I know you are part of the American Cancer Society's board and I'm sure you are quite excited about the Administration's Cancer Moonshot. Obviously I am and sure want to be on that space ship!

My one disappointment is that the President's task force includes no patient voice -- none whatsoever, even though one of the main objectives is to improve patient care and engagement. Believe me, we patients have a lot to offer, particularly those of us who are participating in clinical trials at major research centers. What are your thoughts? I would certainly offer my services but would be equally happy to just have them recognize and rectify that one huge constituency got left out.
