Hello 9th Grade parents,

1. *Artrageous is THIS WEEKEND! *The Arts Committee is still in need of
plenty of parent and student volunteers (no experience necessary) to
contribute their time and make this event a success – volunteer for as
little as one hour and then enjoy the festivities! We have a great line up
of student performances (LS to US students!) and wonderfully creative art
stations to engage the artists in everyone. Please sign up at

slots are generally one hour from 11 am - 4 pm. A little background about
the event: ArtRageous is our annual all-School, community-inclusive arts
festival, and will be held this Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Upper
School Kogod Arts Center, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. A great time for all!

2. I*nformal 9th Grade Coffee this Friday January 29 from 8am to 9am*
*L*ocation: Le Pain Quotidien at 4874 Massachusetts Ave. NW, in Spring
Valley/Wash DC

3. *State of the School PA Meeting February 3 with Bryan Garman. *This
second All School Parents Association meeting with Bryan will include an
overview of school finances and an update on various programs and
initiatives including the One Campus project. Our Assistant Head of School
and Chief Financial Officer Kate Lindsey will be present. There will be
time for questions. Please join us for this meeting on February 3 at 7:00
p.m. in the Robert L. Smith meeting room. Light refreshments will be
available in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. for those of you with time to gather in
advance. Child care will be available. Please contact Kathi Webb if you
would like to drop off your school-age child. Note, this date is a change
from the February 2nd date originally on the calendar.
