What a sad few years you have had to live through. I am sure your grief has been overwhelming. Every day a difficult challenge to live up to and to deal with.
Aunt Val has told me how wonderful you have been with Beau and Halle's children, and I would have expected nothing less.
You were always ready to jump in with both feet and eyes wide open. You were the truster who followed the trustees- when you were a child the trustees were Beau and Jimmy. You and Matt the trusters. That was one reason you all got along so well. You two younger boys had total faith and confidence in the older brothers. Total faith and confidence that the younger brothers would always be there was what you two gave Beau and Jimmy. It worked both ways which is why you two sets of brothers were always each other's best friend.
You learned from Beau but he also learned a lot from you.
You have been a stalwart participant in a quiet way in the life of Beau these last couple of years. I know you have had difficult times.
The mistakes we make don't justify us to enfeeble ourselves, but to strengthen ourselves so we can get back to who we really are. You really are and have always been the best brother - the best friend.
Watching over Beau's children is a beautiful gift to them. You received that gift from Aunt Val and Mom Mom when you were a little boy.
By example you know what a loss of a parent can mean and how it can be made easier because of love - love of an aunt, an uncle or a grandparent.
You, Hunter, will be a big influence in the lives of Beau's children. They are so fortunate to have you. You are fortunate to have them.
You have a beautiful family of girls and you know how to be a Dad. That will come in handy. Aunt Val didn't have that - Mom Mom did.
Having your presence in their lives is your present to Beau, and his children. You are their trustee. But Hunter you already have a life. Your life and your family's life comes first. Thankfully the children have many who love them.
God bless you Hunter. It will not be easy to juggle the wants and needs of all the children, but I believe you can do it.
