> Today is Beau's birthday. What a sad day for all who loved him.
> The loss of Beau is so humbling. It is difficult to think about Beau, and all that he meant to all of you-especially his Dad and Hunter. I put myself in your shoes, and I cry because his loss is so heart breaking.
> I knew Beau as a child. I knew him well because he was with me and our boys for several years. From the time they were 3&4 years old until they were 12. They were and are two children I loved as my own. You know when I say that I mean it. Your children - the same thing. No one else's. I am not a "I love all children" person. Our relationship (the boys) was easy because they were like Jim and Matt's brothers. Having you there made that possible. Also Mom Moms relationship with me and the boys was also special. All of us on on one ship making our way through unknown waters. And that was it. Traversing the water and being on the same wave was easy with us. We were of the same mind the same timing. Those 4 boys were so easy, so easy going, and so trusting. 'Jump in the pool boys and swim even though you don't know how- and they did.' Did they trust us? Oh my God! They were the same with the three of us. No doubts - no issues - if we said go or yes - they went. When I think about that I think how lucky were we? How lucky were they? By the grace of God they were lucky.
> I believe the last three years of Beau's life and his acceptance of his possible death were part of the side of his personality that accepted without doubt and complete trust - his fate. He had Christ whom he accepted as the pilot of the rudder of his life's boat. Beau was always like that. If he trusted you, loved you, believed in you, you were safe. He loved and adored you and his Dad. He completely believed in you and the safety and love you represented to him. You never failed him. Nor did Joe. Nor did Mom Mom. Nor did Hunt. And I am sure Jill was the same way.
> He married Halle, someone who adored him.
> He was a blessed young man. He was loved and adored by many. He was a valiant fighter, and gave his children a legacy they will be proud to own.
> Beau was special. I know that from when he was a child.
> Love you.
