Subject: Practice, Beach Lax/ Lax Splash update


Club Pink parents - we won a hard fought game yesterday against an
established "elite" team, Potomac Select. We had good ball movement, good
draw control and, overall, we competed hard for groundballs. Our weakness
(especially in the first half) was definitely shooting!! Man, we made that
goalie look like a wall!! We were better in the second half, but will spend
time today on shooting and defensive positioning.


PRACTICE - we are intending to have practice tonite at 5:30 at Holy Cross. I
will report back later if it looks like we may be rained out, but for now,
let's plan on practicing.


BEACH LAX 6/12-6/13 - we have enough players and so I intend to register
today. Among others, we are picking up Peyton and Dempsey from the fall as
well as another 7th grader. So I am assuming everyone who said "yes" is
still available. According to my list, everyone can play except Chloe,
Lindy, Finnegan, Sofia, Caroline M. and Hannah. IF ANYONE ELSE CANNOT PLAY,
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP. I spoke with the director over the weekend and he
still has slots. Attached is everything he sent me. He says games start as
early as 8 AM, and end as late as 10:30 PM on Sat. We should be done by 2:30
or 3:00 on Sunday. However, he did say given that attendance is slightly
down, we may start later and end earlier.


I was also assured there are up to 10 rooms available at the Carousel Hotel
if anyone needs them ($185 for 2 queen beds per room). I need to give them
the number of rooms needed TODAY. SO PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ASAP IF YOU WOULD
LIKE A ROOM. I WILL BE THERE FRIDAY AND SAT NIGHTS.


LAX SPLASH 6/5-6/6 - we are still waitlisted, but hopeful. We should know
more once the MYLA playoffs begin. If for some reason we don't get in, we
may be able to play in our league's "Play Day" on 6/6. I will let you know.


SCRIMMAGING - we are being asked to scrimmage again, but have not confirmed
field availability yet. Once I get this sorted out, I will send an email to
see who can make the times. Stay tuned.
