</style></head><body><p>Middle & Upper School Parents/Students - <br />

During the 2017-2018 school year, Middle and Upper School students have the opportunity of taking one-on-one, weekly instrumental music lessons on the Wisconsin Avenue campus. Private instrument lessons give students an opportunity to develop/enhance skill on a musical instrument, with the goal of participating in a Middle and/or Upper School ensemble. Lessons also provide the essential, instrument-specific focus that an ensemble experience can’t always address. Students currently participating in an SFS instrumental ensemble are strongly encouraged to take private lessons. Lessons provide the invaluable support for the young musician while challenging the advanced student in need of more demanding repertoire and technique. <br />
<br />
30, 45 or 60-minute lessons will be offered for the following instruments: <br />
<br />
Violin<br />
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone<br />
Guitar<br />
Electric Bass<br />
Drum Set<br />
Jazz Piano (covers all contemporary piano styles)<br />
<br />
NOTE: With limited lesson space/time, instruments offered are chosen to support growth in current SFS ensemble programs.<br />

</span>2. Fill out the online Pre-Registration intent form. Pre-Registration allows families to express interest in the program and helps the school determine the demand for particular instruments. With this step, families are not officially registering and no payment is required.<span style="font-family: PMingLiU;"><br />
