Lorraine May relies on her chair and ramp provided by The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter every day.

I was privileged to meet Lorraine and Donna in their own home recently. There I saw first-hand the incredible value and uniqueness of the Chapter’s Marjorie Shimer Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Loan Program and the Accessibility Program.

Wheelchairs, recliners, commodes, ramping, stair glides…the items made available by these programs make a very real difference in the lives of Lorraine and Donna and so many of our ALS families. Without these tools, Lorraine would not be able to sit comfortably or get out of her house.
