Wednesday - May 26, 2010 From the School From Rebecca Students should begin cleaning out their lockers in preparation for the end of the school year. There will be an official time to do this after the last exam on Wednesday, June 9. Only students with completely empty lockers can receive their yearbooks on June 10. Speaking of June 10, please remember that June 10 is a school day. All students are expected to attend from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. This is the day when seniors return to present their senior projects, yearbooks are handed out, and the students have a special closing assembly. Kenworthy Clean Out Kenworthy Building will be permanently closing. All Kenworthy Gym lockers will need to be cleaned out by June 9. Any remaining items will be removed and donated to charity. There will be NO ACCESS to the Kenworthy building after June 10 due to construction. Thanks, Anne Renninger2011 Next-to-New Sale It’s never too early to start thinking about Next-to-New! Join your friends in the Sledge Garden during your regular lunch hour on June 1 – or in case of rain – the Senior Lounge. See you there!Green Tip of the Week Can it! Berry season’s around the corner. Consider canning to save for when it’s cold outside. Some tips: 1. Anything naturally acidic (fruits, not veggies) can be canned. Adding sugar/honey, salt or vinegar help preserve it. 2. Equipment: large stock pot, wire rack to fit inside, mason jars, jar lifter/metal tongs, ladle, wooden spoon and sieve. 3. Recipes: Try site for directions, tips, recipes etc: www.canning-food-recipes.com/canningfruits.htm.
