?All -- Rick and I just left a meeting with the 60 Minutes crew responsible for the episodes produced on WFP's work in South Sudan and Syria. We came by to say thank you to them for helping us raise nearly $2M from their piece on South Sudan and famine, and bring in more than 4,000 new donors. But what was striking was how honored THEY were to meet Rick and to share their impressions of WFP and the courageous aid workers who work so hard to feed hungry people day after day. Nicole Young -- the lead 60 Minutes producer who has worked with Scott Pelley for 15+ years -- said that they have never had an easier shoot simply because WFP are the world's best logisticians in the world. She said whenever something seemed impossible they never heard "no" from the WFP team; they heard, "Ok, let's move on to Plan C, D or E". The good news -- and this is not to be shared externally -- is that 60 Minutes is hoping to film WFP's operation in Yemen late this summer. Furthermore, the 60 Minutes team wants to do a piece on WFP every year. Scott Pelley is committed to the issue of global hunger and one of WFP's biggest fans.
