Thanks for this. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I have been with my brother in Philadelphia all week while he was recuperating.

This is great – obvious you put a lot of thought into it. Let me review it a little further and let’s find some time to talk by phone about it shortly. I hope this is OK that I have shared this with my partner, Eric, who you met when you were in our office and I am cc:ing him on this as well. We have also had a healthcare company approach us recently about doing some work in Haiti and we wanted to figure out how their interest might dovetail with this concept and the work of PIH.

Also, I would love to come down to Haiti with you but I think I will be traveling with my Dad overseas that week. I have had a couple of invitations to go down and the timing hasn’t been right for either of the trips, but I really want to make it down there soon.

Let me get back to you on this in the next few days and we can follow up.

Hunter, hope this finds you well.

It has taken much longer than I ever imagined but after meeting with lawyers, PIH folks, etc. I’ve finally created a summary of “the idea” we talked about a few months ago.

Current thinking is to focus an initial fund on Haiti. In fact, I’m heading down there on the 8th-10th of June. Interested in joining me? Paul and the folks at the UN have promised to get us to the right people. Feel free to share with the others who were part of our initial discussion.

Would love to get your thoughts on this after you digest.
