I had Sara clean up James' letter a bit. See if you like the changes. In addition to being more grammatically correct, the tone puts you back in charge. The format is still a bit weird, but I think it’s fine — it looks more like a memo.

The second more personal letter is necessary, I believe, to bring us back to square one with the Chairman. This is for your eyes only. Please call to discuss and I will explain my reasoning.
