Hunter and I met for over 2 hours with Chris Chafe and his team today. We would have met for longer but Hunter and I had to leave for a lunch. Very positive meeting. They seem really interested in the concrete examples we can bring to the table of projects that can create green jobs (DuCool, NextFuels, Ormazabal, etc.) and would really like our help on the market analysis side of things and helping them develop some of the standards T-H funds can use to evaluate investments. They are participating in the Clinton Global Initiative and would like our help in some of the events around that as well.

We were very direct that ultimately we'd like to raise a fund that would attract T-H dollars and see this as a vehicle to do so. They are clearly looking for reputable deal flow (to use as examples) and see us as a group that would only bring them deals that are valuable to Labor and would like to go through our current clients/portfolio companies for ways in which they could play a role (in promoting the story, potentially finding investors, etc.).

We agreed to have a follow up meeting (probably after Hunter gets back from Africa) where we could go into more depth on our clients/portfolio companies and talk through the model more. It would probably be good for one or both of you to be there as well.

Hunter and I really didn't get a chance for a long download, so he may have different reactions/comments.

Bottom line - they were excited to work with us. Still.
