I am excited to send you this important second email. As we recognize our 40th anniversary, I am so inspired by what I witness every day at our Chapter, and know that together we can turn these inspirations into action.
For example, this past weekend, newlyweds Justin Challenger and Lisa Boudeman dedicated a dance at their wedding in honor of Justin’s sister Heather, who is living with ALS. In that one dance, they raised over $ 600 for the ALS cause!! Thank you, Justin and Lisa, for your selflessness on such a special day.
Then, Tuesday morning, Emma and Sophia Phelan spoke on Fox 29 television’s Good Day about the traumatic loss of their father to ALS. On Saturday, these incredible girls will cycle in their dad’s memory in the Chapter’s Ride to Defeat ALS. As your new Executive Director, I pledge to continue the premise upon which our Chapter was built – to honor the promise of exceptional care and advance our mission through research to find new treatments and a cure for this devastating disease.
