Greeting all -- This is a note to those of you who have RSVP'd yes and to those of you yet to decide about our fun colonial-ish gathering at Widehall in Chestertown on February 17th. As you can see from the attached picture, Andrew and I have secured our costumes and really looking forward to seeing you. For those of you looking for a great costume place, the American Backstage Company is a great source. It is at 5380 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia. Phone is 703-212-8982. Rip, the owner, is a bit of a character -- but he knew my size right away and got us all taken care of magnificently. The bad news though is that he has gone into Chapter 11 Reorganization and is closing down his place this week and reopening as a non-profit in Woodbridge. He is definitely open through Wednesday this week -- and then may be on a day by day basis after. He is still renting, and he will let you take the costumes home now and just return by February 19th. He has a Facebook Page (haven't looked it up) where he will report whether he will be open in the days after this Wednesday -- but wanted to let those of you who might need costume help know that you might want to scamper over Monday thru Wednesday this week, just in case. All best and hope to see you soon! Steve (and Andrew) -- *Steve Clemons* *Washington Editor at Large, The Atlantic* *202-276-1176 mobile * *Follow me on Twitter @SCClemons
