R.Hunter: The New York Times just reported that Democrats officially have a chance to take back the Senate this November - but the only way that will become a reality is if my friend Senator Joe Donnelly wins re-election in Indiana.

If Joe beats his far-right challenger, then Democrats will only need to flip two seats to regain control of the Senate and stop the worst parts of President Trump's dangerous agenda in its tracks.

That is a big "if." Joe is facing one of the most competitive races of the year - POLITICO and CNN have both ranked his seat as one of the most likely to flip parties this cycle, and even President Trump has vowed to "campaign against [Joe] like you wouldn't believe."

Joe cannot win this race without a massive push from grassroots Democrats nationwide - and with only hours left until his deadline, he's still falling short of tonight's must-hit goal. So R.Hunter, I need you to give $5 - before midnight - to re-elect Senator Joe Donnelly and help Democrats take back the Senate.

Why is the GOP so determined to kick Joe out of office? Because he's spent the past year fighting against Donald Trump. Because he's refused to bow to right-wing groups' pressure while they've spent millions trying to get him to betray his constituents and vote for the GOP's awful, cruel agenda.

Most recently, Joe stood tall and spoke against the Republicans' so-called tax reform bill. He fought hard for middle-class families, even while President Trump leveled threats against him for doing so.

Democrats simply cannot afford to lose his voice or his vote in the Senate. It takes major resources to win a race this close - resources Joe simply won't have unless he hits tonight's goal.

Please, I'm counting on you to give $5 before Joe's midnight deadline to help us take back the Senate for Democrats.
