Eight years ago, the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision turned our campaign finance system on its head.

The consequences have been severe. Special interests are able to spend unlimited sums of dark money to influence races across the country, and as a result, career politicians like Rod Blum are becoming increasingly beholden to them.

In their pursuit of special interests backers, they’ve totally abandoned the folks they’re supposed to be representing.

How else would you explain his vote to enrich private health insurance companies while stripping Iowans of their health care? Or his vote to slash taxes for the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the working class?
