Dear Friends,
As we wrap up 2016, I’m in awe of what generous people like you have made possible for the 127,000 people that Catholic Charities served.
Thanks to our generous supporters, just this month we gave Christmas gifts to more than 2,600 kids who otherwise would have gone without the joy of Christmas morning:
* 1,240 were families in Montgomery County
* 200 were families in Southern Maryland
* 1,200 were families in the District of Columbia.

Thanks to you, we served 400 homeless men, women, and children a warm Christmas dinner and provided each person with a new pair of shoes.
Since Thanksgiving, a bitter cold month has meant we’ve opened extra hypothermia shelters nearly 30 times. By comparison, only 9 hypothermia alerts were issued last year at this time. Each time the hypothermia alert is called, we provide an extra 600 beds and a hot mealfor the homeless to help them get out of the freezing cold.
If you haven't yet, could you make a donation before the end of the year? <https://www.catholiccharitiesdc.org/ThankYou16?srctid=1&erid=1849837&trid=6979ac53-984d-4474-a104-7957b314bb49>
As we look ahead to 2017, please accept my sincere thanks once again.
Happy New Year,
