Dear Parents of Sidwell Seniors, Class of 2017!

On this cold and soon to be snowy winter day, I am sending a second email to get all of you thinking about May and our grade wide celebration event hosted by parents for graduating Seniors at Glen Echo Park! We are so happy to have heard from many of you that want to attend and/or participate! Please see below for details and later this week you will get an evite if you are interested in attending a host committee meeting later to happen in late January.

REMINDER AND REPEAT OF DECEMBER 7 EMAIL TO ALL SIDWELL PARENTS OF GRADUATING SENIORS

In addition to Senior Celebration which is a Sidwell-sponsored graduation event, it has become somewhat of a tradition in the past few years for some of the parents of graduating seniors to host an off-campus, grade wide celebration event at Glen Echo Park. This year’s party will be held on Saturday May 13, and all parents and seniors are invited. This is not a Sidwell-sponsored or a Parent’s Association event. It is parent-sponsored, parent-organized, and parent-hosted; all costs are covered by voluntary contributions from parents in the Class of 2017. You can join in the fun by helping with specific party duties, such as decorations, food, finding a DJ, or putting together a slide show. OR if you want to get involved by making a financial contribution, that is great too! We happily accept any and all types of contributions! The budget is being finalized, but the costs of the party will be split among participating families, so we hope to have as many people involved as possible at any level that feels comfortable. Kathleen Biden, Claire Dwoskin, Liz Norton, Denielle Pemberton-Heard and I would like to get a host committee organized and would love to have anyone and everyone involved!

However you decide to participate or not, PLEASE put this date on your calendars and plan on coming with your graduating senior!
