This guy is not someone she knows at all but she suggested I at least get back to the guy and tell him he is welcome to send in a proposal and we will keep it for review whenever the time is right.

Dear Mr. Schwerin,

Valerie Biden Owens referred me to you as a point of contact. I am the partner of a communications firm that represents and work with authors. Though our origins are in Republican politics, we’ve served as agents for a variety of high-profile figures across the political spectrum — former Cabinet officials, past and present governors, and U.S. Senators among them. We also have worked with organizations such as Harvard Business School, Edelman, and Foreign Policy.

I’d contacted Mrs. Owens because we are very interested in making a pitch to the Vice President to serve as his agent for a book deal. We’d also be pleased to provide any research, writing, or editorial support he might require.

I know the Vice President likely has several people interested in working with him — one name in particular comes to mind.
