Press and pundits agree that Lt. Governor Anthony Brown was the "clear loser" for declining to participate in Tuesday night's gubernatorial television debate in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Sun wrote that Brown was the "one clear loser in Tuesday's night gubernatorial debate." [Baltimore Sun, 5/27/14]

"Gansler was the winner ... the big loser was Brown." -- Towson Professor Rick Vatz Commentary, [Maryland Reporter, 5/27/14]

Despite originally agreeing to three televised debates, Brown was a no-show for Baltimore's only TV debate.
