The next 6th grade hangout will be held on Friday February 15th from 3:30
to 4:30 p.m. at the Wannan Gym. If the weather is nice outside, the kids
may also be able to play in the outdoor space next to the gym (but not on
the sports fields). There will be basketball and ping pong. Pizza and
drinks will be provided.

*Ground Rules*: Please note that students are expected to sign in and out
of the hangout. Parents or caregivers should preferably pick up students at
the hangout location (the Wannan gym). The hangout will end at 4:30 so
please make arrangements to pick up your kids by that time.

*Community Service Project*: As with prior hangouts, there will be a
service project at the hangout. Our service partner is Food and Friends.
The students will make and decorate "Birthday Bags." Every client of Food
and Friends receives their own birthday bag with a birthday cake in it.
Food and Friends has requested this project and would like the birthday
bags to be as festive and as colorful as possible. Please encourage your
son or daughter to participate.

*Request for Chaperones*: We are looking for parent chaperones to help out
during the hangout. Several parents are needed to make sure that kids stay
within the designated boundaries of the hangout and play safely and to help
with set up and clean up. A couple of parents are needed to assist Carrie
with the service project. We are asking chaperones to arrive at 3:20 and to
stay until about 4:45. If you are able to volunteer, please email Haleh at
