> As a matter of fact, mine is truly awful, and it's probably not going to get any better - at least not until mid-2016...
>
> I'm currently in South Africa to meet President Zuma, and next week I go to Cyprus and Portugal‎ to see their heads of state and government. From there I go to the Far East again.
>
> As I told you, I'm passing through New York on December 10th (on my way from Seoul to Istanbul), and then arrive in town again on December 16th from Dakar. If I knew that you would be interested in going to Mexico as early as December, I wouldn't schedule any meetings on East Coast and ask Emilio if he could receive us in that period (December 16th - 24th). Unfortunately, I already made a number of significant appointments in New York and DC, so that is no longer possible.
>
> The month of January and early February is also fully booked. Except for one week that I will spend on vacation with Natasa, I'll be on the road non-stop (visiting Riyadh, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Davos, Geneva, Addis Ababa, Cairo, Warsaw and Munich). All of these visits involve high-level meetings with royalty and top government officials, so they can't be easily rescheduled.
>
> I can be in the Western Hemisphere again‎ not earlier then the week of February 16th. I can check with Emilio if Monday - Tuesday 16th-17th or 23th-24th works for him - of course, if those are OK with you.
>
> On Wednesday, February 18th, I have a big promotion of Horizons (my thintank's magazine) at the Harvard Club of New York, with Jeffrey Sachs, Jospeh Nye, Franco Frattini and a few others. I was about to write to Devon separately to ask if he could suggest to President Kwasniewski that he joins us for that. The event will feature a panel ‎discussion (moderated by myself) on Russia-West relations. The Russian corner will be defended by their sharp-tongued ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin, so it will be quite an interesting debate!
>
> In my previous email, I raised the possibility of organizing the fundraiser in New York that we couldn't pull in November (in the period December 16th-24th). Needless to say, I would appreciate it immensely, but if that's too short a notice, never mind. However, I do suggest that we at least try and meet to discuss the way forward, on Mexico and other issues. It would be ideal if Hunter Biden could join us, as I reckon it may not be a bad idea that we start getting to know each other... Tell me what you think.

> It is great to hear from you. I hope the CIRSD conference went all, and that your extensive travels have gone safely. Apologies for the delay -- Devon and I have had the same challenge regarding crazy schedules, so it's taken us a while to get coordinated and get back to you. Here's what we would propose if it works for you: Can we plan a trip to Mexico City on Friday, December 5 to see Emilio? Emilio might be more relaxed and less busy on a Friday. But we could also make December 9-10 work if that's better. Does this work for you? Kyle, does this work for you? If it works for our group, let's check with Emilio asap so we can lock something down. Devon and I have been discussing an agenda with a detailed list of ideas to discuss with Emilio, so we should be in good shape for the meeting.
>
> As for December 10, I'll will unfortunately miss you as I'll be out of town. Hope all is well otherwise. Talk soon and all the best,

>> I just landed in Belgrade after a totally exhausting week (Hong Kong-Beijing-Brussels-London-Cambridge-Paris)‎. My thinktank (CIRSD) is hosting a big international conference here on Climate Change and Green Economy over the next two days. From here we're going to Spain for CIRSD's Board meeting, and then I proceed to South Africa.
>>
>> I met with Emilio last week in Beijing, at the margins of the APEC Summit. He reconfirmed his readiness to host us in Mexico City. I suggest we take him up on that, like we discussed over our lunch in New York. I agree with Anjan that we might want to consider doing that before the conference in March.

>> I will be (literally) going through New York on Wednesday, December 10th. I will land in the morning from Seoul, give a dinner keynote to the end-of-year Harvard Kennedy School Board, and catch a plane to Istanbul at around midnight. I should be free for lunch on that day - how about you?
>>
>> Allow me to raise with you another scheduling issue. My wife and I agreed to spend our Christmas vacation in Europe (we previously planned to be in the US). Given that I'm doing my tour of Gulf capitals, Davos and African Union Summit in January, it would be very difficult for me to come to New York before the following month at earliest.

>> However, I can be in town in the period Wednesday, December 16h - Tuesday, December 23rd. Do you think it would be possible to organize then the fundraising event‎ that we postponed in November? To be honest, that would be really convenient for me, given the circumstances...
