Colleagues,
The wait is finally over. I'd like to thank Kimberly and Chike for sticking it out with me at the Baltimore City School Board meeting tonight. Baltimore Collegiate is approved to move forward as a charter school in grades 4-8, with the option to open a high school once we find a "comparable university partner to University of Baltimore." In other words, a university in the area. We are actually in talks with President Kurt Schmoke at UB to do just that, but more on this Saturday.I hope everyone can make the meeting from 1-4 on Saturday at Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin and White, Geoff's firm (201 N. Charles Street). We will be discussing next steps, which all need to happen ASAP. All pertinent documents and the agenda will be in the DropBox folder.
