Hi! I want you to know, I'm not a huge fan of spam mail so I'm really sorry if you already received this email earlier in the morning. Of course, that means, you've already signed up for the monthly Dispatch and maybe even listened to the very first podcast! But if you didn't receive this mornings Dispatch though want to in the future, you can sign up here: http://eepurl.com/6fODn I promise, it's just one time a month - and maybe even less because I'm really terrible at emailing! But this one time, I wanted to make sure you received. Because this email is special. It contains the very first Ashtanga Dispatch Podcast, an episode containing my conversation with David Garrigues while he was here in DC last week. I have to say, it might be hard for me to top this one. David was so open and candid about his growing up years, his experience as a student, and what kind of teacher he is. I really think you're going to enjoy this one! I also wanted to thank you for your support. This email goes to all corners of the world, many of you, I've never even met but feel your love and am grateful to have shared Ashtanga Dispatch with you in one form or another. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you again. Hope you enjoy listening to the podcast as much as I enjoyed and look forward to sharing more in the future. xo, Peg Ashtanga Dispatch Podcast, First Episode with David Garrigues: http://pegmulqueen.com/2014/11/24/ashtanga-dispatch-podcast-episode-1/ Begin forwarded message: > From: peg mulqueen <pegmulqueen@me.com> > Subject: A new podcast from Ashtanga Dispatch - delivered to you first! > Date: November 25, 2014 at 12:35:03 PM EST > > > > My friend, the very first Ashtanga Dispatch Podcast is here - and I wanted you to be the first to hear! > View this email in your browser > > Trust > Why so much doubt? > A few years back, I wrote a poem asking (myself) why I stood in my doubt. Then last week, someone asked me to repost so she could share it with a friend who needed this same encouragement. > > Don't we all, though? I mean, Aren't we all afraid to put ourselves out there? Probably why our yoga practice makes us do this uncomfortably, daily - so we can get used to feeling afraid instead of avoiding it. You see, fear isn't usually what keeps us stuck, but the fear of fear, will. > > Admittedly, the launch of the Ashtanga Dispatch Magazine was a huge leap of faith for me and one I wouldn't have taken without Jen René and my daughter, Meghan. It was a risk and I was scared of failing and looking foolish. Now in our second printing, I thought I could rest. But I should've known better ... > > Because that's another thing our practice continually reminds us: never get too comfortable. So of course, in walks my good friend, Chris Lucas with yet another crazy idea: The Ashtanga Dispatch: A podcast featuring personal conversations with the teachers who inspire us all. > > Immediately, I doubted. "Geez, Chris. It's one thing to write, but this kind of thing is over my head and I'm a little scared!" To which he responded: "Scared just means you are onto something." > > Luckily for you, he's as convincing as he is talented. > > And so, here we go ... > > The Ashtanga Dispatch Podcast. > Episode One: A conversation with my teacher, David Garrigues > > Am I still scared? Oh hell yes! In fact, I'm not sure I'll ever be rid of doubt! But faith isn't something we learn - it's something we choose when we risk moving forward. So despite all the fear and inevitable second guessing, we can choose to trust. > > Still, there is added comfort in knowing we're not alone. And why I am grateful to have Chris prodding me along, holding my hand. Just as you in the past, always have. > > My friend, Ashtanga Dispatch (in any form) hasn't been built by my hands alone. This is really a loving community we've built together - hand in hand. It's bigger than me and more powerful than all of our doubts and fears put together. > > Thank you for your faith and for sharing yourself and this practice! > > Much love, > > Peg > > P.S.
