Hi Katie,

Just wanted to follow up and make sure that Mr. Biden received the email
invitation below from Fr. John a couple of weeks ago. We hope that he will
be able to join us for the Mass, and please let me know if he needs any
more information or has any questions.

Thanks!

Catherine

December 8th at 4pm

Dear President’s Council Member,

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying this
beautiful fall! Things have been very busy for me at Catholic Charities
over the past few months. From our three-day Mission of Mercy free dental
clinic to our growing involvement in working with Unaccompanied Minors to
recognizing our outstanding volunteers at our annual Caritas Awards, I see
amazing things happen within and because of our agency every day.
Nevertheless, our work only continues as we prepare for the demands of
winter by sponsoring our Coats of Many Colors coat drive and readying our
shelters for hypothermia season, which will bring close to 2,000 men,
women, and children to our doorstep seeking food and shelter during this
difficult time.

I can’t tell you enough how grateful I am to you for
serving as my trusted advisor, advocate, and friend in your role as a
member of the President’s Council. I rely on you for helping get the word
out on all the great things we are doing at Catholic Charities as well as
offering advice and counsel on many important issues that I face throughout
the year. I am looking forward to telling you more about what has happened
since we last met and so* invite you to join me on Monday, December 8th at
4:00 pm at Georgetown Preparatory School*. On behalf of our host, Fr.
Scott Pilarz, S.J., President of Georgetown Prep, I would like to begin
this meeting with Mass in the chapel so that we may celebrate the Feast of
the Immaculate Conception and come together in the spirit of reflection and
peace that accompanies the Advent season. Immediately following the Mass,
a reception will be held where a short discussion will take place. Because
this season is so special for all of us, I would like to extend this
invitation for you to bring your family members should they be available to
join us.

Please feel free to reply to this email with your RSVP
<lisa.paro@catholiccharitiesdc.org> or contact Lisa Paro at (202)
772-4336. Please include the number of guests you would like to bring.
There is nothing more special than celebrating the Christmas season with
loved ones by your side while making a difference in the lives of helping
those less fortunate.

This is my opportunity to say thank you for serving in your role as we
close this year in celebration of the work that has been done and hope for
the work that lies ahead in the coming year. I look forward to seeing you
on December 8th.
