Dearest Friends, i wish I had time to write each of you a personal note. I have good---even great ----news to share with you! Tonight, we won a majority in a school board vote to move forward with our plans to launch Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys in 2015. I feel like this nightmare is over and we have a fresh path forward. As you know so well from my calls for support and help, this passage of uncertainty with the School District was unforeseen while it also threatened the very success of this venture. I'm deeply grateful for your strategic advice and counsel, your love and support, and your prayers. There were times when I wondered if we should give up because the climb was too steep. But at very important moments you showed me a glimmer of hope. Thank you. It will truly take a village to build this school. Like the climbers at Mt. Everest, we are at base camp and now the real ascent to the summit begins. Going forward, you are critical to our success. You know I won't hesitate to call on you. I seem to have a knack for asking for favors. Thank you. Onward, Jack -- ____________________________________________________ Jack J.
