I spoke with Mr. Fan of the Chinese Embassy (LAST WEEK WHEN HE CALLED
AND THIS MORNING) regarding dates for dinner. They could not confirm
dates in May. Therefore, we gave them April 28th and April 14th in that
order. Mr. Fan said that he would check but was unsure when he could
give us an answer. Annual Meetings are the most important time for
funds to meet with investors during the year. Most annual meetings in
the "fund world" are held in the spring (APRIL/MAY),and it is critical
to lock in a date to maximize attendance for the current funds and new
funds. We would appreciate your contacting the embassy prior to our
conference call scheduled for Tuesday. If you have any questions, please
give me a call. Thank you.
