Wow -- the March for Our Lives was incredible.

I had the chance to march in California, and I can’t even express the admiration and inspiration I feel thanks to the young activists from Parkland, FL.

Turning trauma into positive action isn’t easy by any definition, but these teenagers were able to inspire marches to end gun violence in every state and throughout the rest of the world. So many people, including members of Team Moulton and myself, marched with the teenagers from Parkland this weekend -- but now it’s time to take action.

When we all come together, anything is possible. Thanks to the pressure started by the Parkland teenagers and the March for Our Lives, lawmakers in Florida passed measures to raise the minimum age to purchase firearms to 21, put in place a three-day waiting period on gun purchases, and fund more school police officers and mental health counselors.

But it also allows school districts and sheriffs to arm certain staff at schools.
