Dear NMNS Directors,

Greetings from NYC. The Winter Wonderland scene of 19 inches of snow wears off pretty quickly, so the thought of landing in Naples FL on Tuesday gets more delightful by the moment.

As is our usual practice, I have attached multiple documents for your review before our meeting. The agenda, program and staff reports, committee reports, financials, and other supporting documents. We will have hard copies of everything at the meeting.

I want to call your attention to a letter and a document drafted by Access Academies and forwarded by John Vatterott for consideration in our afternoon strategy session. This is a version of an idea which has been "kicking around for some time" and I agree it is worth discussion at our meeting or perhaps over cocktails in the Vatterott's beautiful home. Though it is written with STL in mind, this has been discussed in other cities and would fill a similar need. I see this linked to the suggestion that we seek separate 501c3 status for our Graduate Support Program. I very much look forward to a free, creative, and productive exchange of thoughts to further our important work.
