For discussion at some point today. Background / Questions Regarding USPS RFP The Post Office issued an RFP for a technology provider to replace/upgrade self-service kiosks, cash registers and other systems at post offices throughout the country. The current technology provider is NCR with whom the Post Office has had roughly a 15 year relationship. Last year, approximately $32 billion was processed through the NCR provided systems. The RFP is due the first week of March. 1) Is there a firm commitment to move forward with the RFP? 2) Have we done a cost analysis of implementing a new system? (In light of current financial realities at USPS.) 3) Do we have an idea of how long the implementation will take? 4) Why now? Is altering the current contract with NCR not a more cost-effective option? -- Mike Muldoon Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC 1010 Wisconsin Ave., NW Suite 705 Washington, DC 20007 (202) 333-1880 mmuldoon@rosemontseneca.com
