In 1996, Congress passed the Dickey Amendment -- which banned the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from even researching gun violence.

The amendment was passed with the backing of the NRA. And since 1996, the NRA has defeated every attempt to repeal it.

But there is a new movement in Congress to repeal the Dickey Amendment, and we're trying to build support for it. Will you add your name to join us?
