~Thank you for every moment that you
remember that our true nature is love today ~
in honor of the beautiful lives lost, and those who are physically and emotionally
wounded in Orlando, and all over the world every day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings!
Thank you for all the moments that you will contribute joy, care, healing, kindness,
transformation, strength, creativity and inspiration to others and life today.
Let's use every breath to recall ourselves to this capacity. In harmonious moments
it will enhance our joy. In challenging moments it may feel like it is breaking
our hearts and it is too painful.
A broken heart is a bigger heart...
And surely our hearts can not be any more broken today than the people in Orlando
that have been personally impacted forever....or the people all over the world who
are living with violence, loss, hunger, injustice, intolerance and fear.
Consciously cultivating our capacity for being, choosing, and living from love is
the ultimate journey, and it is beauteous, arduous, life-giving and sometimes miraculous.
The world needs a lot of love, and it begins with us. We never know when a smile,
a kind word, the love that motivated us to speak up, bake a loaf of bread for someone,
volunteer, create a new service project, forgive something, bring beauty in small
and big ways, can change individual lives and the course of history.
We need to bring unprecedented wisdom, courage, and creativity to the challenges
of our world today. And love, kindness, compassion, tolerance and joy, give birth
to inner peace, clarity, creativity, courage, empowerment transformation and new
wisdom. We need to be committed to this.
Ghandhi taught that when someone is beating someone you help both people. Love
is unconditional. Today we are invited to stretch our hearts to love every part
of ourselves, every person - mothers, fathers, children - people on "this" supposed
side or "that" - people who are harmed, and people who harm.
This is so so so so difficult, and may take a lifetime to accomplish, however it
is our experience that every human heart beats with the desire to experience love.
Einstein said that we are not going to solve problems with the same level of consciousness
that created the problem. A love which knows no bounds is profoundly more creative,
more seeing of all the factors of the situation, more energized to respond in unprecedented
ways, to forge new pathways for society and life.
We need this. Our world needs this. Let's begin again today. Let's begin again
with this breath.
Please note:In honor of Orlando,Syria, the inner cities, et al all over the world
we are
transforming our event scheduled for this
Saturday night June 18th, 5:30 pm to 10 pm,
~to be a vigil of lights, a silent walk,
a love and peace concert with Bob Sima and others,
and a conversation about being "love activists".
We will still have a vegetarian potluck, and families and children will be welcome
to swim in the pool with joy.
The annual board meeting will be postponed to a future time as
we gather our bodies, hearts, minds and souls to contemplate love, to grieve, to
practice and cultivate peace, and be inspired to live more consciously.
PLEASE INVITE ANYONE. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL.
Further information will be sent out tomorrow.
Love is the fearless and unrelenting commitment to respond to the need to awaken
to love, in ourselves and each other, in every moment.
Please be a "love activist" in your life and the lives of others today. And let
us know if there is some way we can support you in your journey of love.
With unending love and devotion,
Jessica, Breathworkers, Board, Staff
