Hunter - feel free to ignore this if it is too far out, but... I was thinking about how to respond to the Orlando shooting and it occurred to me that it would be a great statement if someone senior from the administration went to watch tomorrow night's NBA game at a gay sports bar in town - to say, "we stand with LGBT people in this painful hour", and that "as Americans we won't be scared away from LGBT clubs and gathering places because of this hateful act". Part defiance and part love.

As I said, it's a crazy idea but could be a powerful one, so wanted to put it out there. Not sure who the right person at WH is to share with. Hope you're well and that you guys have good plans for the summer.
