Coach at Sidwell.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Those of you who are
returning players from last season already know me from my previous work assisting
with the Sidwell Varsity Tennis Teams.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I
would like to welcome all rising 9<sup>th</sup> graders to Sidwell Friends high
school tennis. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I am very excited to lead
the Sidwell Tennis program into the upcoming season and look forward to a great
year.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We will have a Girls Varsity and a
Girls JV tennis team this fall.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 1em;margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-family: Cambria;">Pre-season practice will begin on <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Monday, August 22 at 3pm sharp. </strong>We will meet at the Wisconsin
Avenue Tennis Courts.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Don’t be
late.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>During the first week all
practices will be from 3-5pm.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">All students must submit their health
information forms before they are allowed to participate.</strong><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>For pre-season, you should bring your tennis
racquet(s) and some form of hydration (water or sports drink).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>You should wear appropriate athletic attire
and tennis shoes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

that you arrive on the first day of pre-season ready to compete. </strong>We will
start with conditioning and point play on the first day of pre-season.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>On day 2, we will begin match play, which
will impact the ladder as well as which players make Varsity and JV.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We currently have a great level of interest
in tennis at Sidwell with over 30 students registered for Girls Tennis this
fall.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Unfortunately, that means that
some players will be cut.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Be prepared
for this.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

that you participate in a summer tennis camp as well as play in at least one
